Vintage notes by Winemaker,
Sandro Mosele 2008
Characterised by an early start and above average yields. The unseasonably cool February greatly enhanced the aromatic qualities of the wines. A hot week experienced in March had a pronounced effect on the fruit yet to be picked. Fortunately, the vast majority of our fruit had already been harvested. Wines from 2008 are some of the most expressive and individualistic wines we have made.
2007
Another early vintage. Drought conditions resulted in lower yields for all varieties. The quality of the fruit was excellent, and has resulted in intense wines.
2006
One of the earliest seasons on record for the Mornington Peninsula. Overall it was a good vintage, resulting in aromatic and well structured wines.
2005
The vintage was characterised by a mild Summer with a beautiful warm Autumn. These vintage conditions resulted in wines with high natural acidities. This vintage produced exceptional white wines.
2004
The vintage was characterised by a mild, dry growing season which provided excellent ripening conditions. It was a very even year with desired yields, good ripeness and suppleness in the wines.
2003
The vintage was characterised by a warm dry growing season. Weather conditions provided perfect growing and ripening conditions for the fruit.
2002
Colder conditions through late Spring and early Summer limited yields this year. A warmer Autumn allowed the crop to ripen to its full potential.
2001
Hot and dry conditions over Spring and Summer with wet intervals during early Autumn allowed for a moderate crop.
2000
A hot and dry season, one of the hottest on record. The resulting fruit was of a very high quality and showed great intensity of flavours.
1999
A cool year with very slow ripening.
