New Cellar Door and Dining Room
The new Port Phillip Estate cellar door and dining room is now open - a spectacular new home for renowned Kooyong and Port Phillip Estate wines. The new architectural landmark building features a dining room, cellar door and tasting room, and outside deck overlooking vineyards to the sea.
Designed by award-winning Wood Marsh Architecture, the building emerges as an elegant 120 metre wall from the landscape - a dramatic curved facade featuring limestone rammed earth set against blue skies, vineyards and sea. Once inside, the building reveals sweeping views framed by stained timber beams, limestone rammed earth walls and huge glass windows - the effect is simply breathtaking.
The spacious dining room features Chef Simon West's contemporary, regional and seasonal inspired menus. Simon returns home to the Mornington Peninsula, thrilled to be back in one of Australia's best regional destinations and cooking food to complement the region's outstanding wines.
